Peace and Quiet with Zero Nightlife
Palmdale is a peaceful desert city for those that prefer things to be calm. It is the perfect community for a family or to start a new family. In fact, families make up more than two-thirds of the city’s population. Not only does it benefit from having no nightlife activity, but there are plenty of hotspots for the family to enjoy like the Mulligan Family Fun Center, with miniature golf and arcades. Another spot that’s popular is the Barrel Springs Trail, where everyone can spend a day hiking, biking or riding horses.
Speaking of nature, another place to check out is the Devils Punchbowl, a popular hiking preserve that looks like a miniature Grand Canyon. And for those of you that do like the occasional night out, there’s always Los Angeles nearby.
Los Angeles is Just an Hour Away
Palmdale is only an hour outside of Los Angeles, so you could practically call yourself an Angelino (while enjoying far cheaper expenses than everyone in L.A. proper). This means you have access to top-notch entertainment any time you feel like indulging. Because the celebrities and entertainers live locally, you can expect quadruple the number of events than other major cities. No matter what you’re into, L.A. has got you covered.
See a comedy show at legendary clubs like The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, The Hollywood Improv, or any of the well-known improv sketch comedy venues (Groundlings, Second City, UCB, I/O). More of a sports person? Los Angeles hosts the Lakers, Clippers, Rams, Chargers, Kings, Dodgers, and the Galaxy for you soccer fans out there. And nearby Anaheim has the Ducks and the Angels.
Speaking of Anaheim, you also have access to Disney Land, while L.A. has Universal Studios. Check out a concert at the infamous Hollywood Bowl or go see a live show of your favorite podcast.
