We greatly appreciate and value all of our SpecialtyCare Human Resources employees. This week, we’re highlighting one of our Recruitment Managers, Sarah Dyczewski, whose work upholds our mission and vision. She discusses what a typical day in her role looks like and what she loves about being a Recruitment Manager while sharing valuable advice and some memorable moments from her career.
What is your role in the Human Resources Department?
I’m a Recruitment Manager.
How long have you been a recruitment manager?
I’ve been a recruitment manager for one year as of February 28, 2022.
What led you to become interested in healthcare HR, and can you describe your path to becoming a recruitment manager?
I loved recruiting and started in college admissions recruitment and the staffing industry. I quickly realized I had a passion for healthcare during my MBA coursework. I took some classes around healthcare administration and loved the clinical side from a business perspective. Helping clinicians find their dream jobs impacting patient care is the best of both worlds.
What are the benefits of a career in healthcare HR?
There are so many benefits from learning about the healthcare industry to improving patients’ lives indirectly and working with such talented HR professionals. We’re constantly learning!
What is a day in the life of a recruitment manager like?
As a recruitment manager in healthcare, each day is different. We’re focused on sourcing quality healthcare professionals who embody our values and mission. A lot of the day-to-day is spent sourcing, conducting phone interviews, and working with hiring managers on recruitment strategies. We also collaborate with service line leaders. As a manager, I work with my team to provide insight and guidance when needed while helping them meet their professional goals.
