This one-day course is designed to cover ELSO’s essential simulation scenarios and support the development of ECMO skills.
The one-day ECMO simulation course will then complete all hands-on training required for Step 2. The course includes all, but is not limited to, ELSO’s essential simulation scenarios, and will meet the needs of a novice ECMO clinician while still challenging the seasoned ECMO professional.
Classroom size is kept small to ensure maximum hands-on time for each participant. You will be introduced to a simulation environment, placed through a circuit review, challenged with multiple ECMO emergency scenarios, and asked to participate in a robust debrief process where you will identify what happened and lessons learned.
Target Audience:
This course addresses the needs of all ECMO bedside caregivers including physicians, advance practice providers (PA and NP), ECMO specialists, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and perfusionists.
Education Credits:
The hands-on Simulation Course awards 8 credits.

The JeffStat Education Center is near the Philadelphia City Hall, in a safe and walkable area. Several brand name and boutique hotels are nearby, some within walking distance to the Education Center. Ubers and taxis are also an easy option.
If you have a car, there are plenty of parking options around the Education Center.
