Every year, Cigna selects a group of organizations for the Cigna Well-Being Award to honor the difference they’re making in employee health and well-being. This year, SpecialtyCare is honored to be one of the recipients. This award is given to recipients whose organization demonstrates a strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of its employees through a wellness program.
Cigna’s wellness experts evaluate each organization’s current culture of well-being based on a proven framework including leadership engagement, company culture, strategy and goals, implementation, and participation. We look forward to continuing to develop a culture of wellbeing that exceeds expectations.
The Importance of the Cigna Well-Being Award
Wellness programs can transform company culture and benefit everyone’s lives. These programs have proven successful in reducing healthcare costs, reducing absenteeism, and improving productivity. A successful wellness program should start with low investment levels, develop a culture of wellness in the organization by promoting healthy behaviors regularly, and get support from middle managers.
When you apply for the Cigna Well-Being Award, you’ll receive valuable feedback on your wellness program’s strengths and where there’s room for improvement. All Cigna medical accounts based in the United States are eligible to apply. Cigna’s wellness experts will evaluate your organization’s leadership, operating plan, worksite policies, the breadth and unique characteristics of your program, communication plans and incentives, and participation data.
Award winners will receive industry recognition and an electronic award seal for use across your organization’s digital communications to showcase their commitment to employees.
