The Sunshine

Before we get into all the attractions, if you’re like most people who have never lived in Vegas, you might assume the climate is just too hot for comfortable living. The reality is, thanks to the sunshine, the temperatures in Vegas stay comfy at least 7 months out of the year. From January through April, average temperatures are near-perfect. They run anywhere from 60 to 80 degrees while the lows almost never reach below freezing. Sure, it can get hot in the summer, but think about all those wonderful 70/80 degree days, because you’ll be getting way more of those than the excessive heat. And the sun comes out an average of 353 days a year.

So Many Attractions

Everybody knows about the glorious casinos and nightlife already, so we won’t get into those here. Vegas is jam-packed with exciting things to do every day and night of the week. First, you’ve got the world-class musical acts, some of them all year round. Currently in the middle of residencies in Vegas are Drake at Winn’s XS nightclub, Cardi B and Lady Antebellum at Palms Casino Resort, Aerosmith at Park MGM, Backstreet Boys at Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, Gwen Stefani at Zappos Theater, and the one and only Celine Dion wraps her residency June 8.
Imagine going to see these A-listers at the drop of a hat whenever you feel like it. Vegas is also known for its water and theme parks. There’s Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas, Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas, and Adventuredome, a 5-acre indoor amusement park located on the Strip. And let’s not forget Red Rock Canyon for you nature lovers, loaded with scenic hiking trails for miles.

Sports

We can’t mention Vegas without mentioning the sports. The NHL Vegas Golden Knights came screaming out of the gate with their very first season and went all the way to the Stanley Cup last year, marking it the strongest debut season for an expansion team in professional sports history. The City of Lights also plays host to the world’s best boxing matches and the UFC. Every month, the UFC holds a pay-per-view event with its best fights, and at least 4 of them have taken place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Boxing is still the king sport though, and during any given month, there are multiple fights lined up ranging from welterweight to heavyweight.
