Perfusionists needed denver co

Our country is facing unprecedented times, and need healthcare professionals – the heroes on the front lines – has never been greater. We are proud to be working with 1,100 hospitals nationwide to provide perfusion, IONM, surgical support, and other vital operating room services during this critical time and we are looking for more healthcare heroes to join our team.

What to Expect as a Perfusionist in Denver

Currently, our Denver team has an immediate need for five perfusionists. If you’re already licensed and have the burning desire to help our country get through this crisis by putting your skills to work, we want to hear from you.

Our Denver team has five total perfusionists (not counting support staff) that cover three local hospitals in the area. They perform around 800 all adult cardiac cases every year, including ECMO, ATS, IABP, POC, and VAD. Each member takes on about 150 cases a year, and the team initiates around 40 ECMO during that same timeframe.

We’re looking for someone that’s already ABCP certified, and while we’d prefer someone with a few years experience, we are open to new grads and offering a sign-on bonus to sweeten the deal. You’ll be required to live within 30 minutes driving distance of your hospital and be available to work on-call, so you’ll occasionally be responsible for covering service during odd hours to care for the patients.

Experienced and Supportive Leadership

Backing you up will be an amazing supervisory perfusion team with a combined 40 years of experience in the field. Andy Stasko is our Director of Operational Performances in Perfusion Services, and it’s his job to make sure everyone is operating at the highest level of patient care. Al Stammers, our Vice President of Clinical Quality and Outcomes research, will be on the other end analyzing the data we learn from your cases. SpecialtyCare operates SCOPE™, the SpecialtyCare Operative Procedural Registry, the largest multi-institutional database of its kind. Our in-house medical team works to analyze data from every case to determine benchmarks and continuously work to improve patient outcomes. Our President of Perfusion Services, Tom Coley, leads this service line with extensive experience and an incredible amount of compassion. You have the opportunity to work with this amazing group of leaders.

Moving to Denver

With a laid-back vibe, great schools, and access to the Rockies, Denver is consistently ranked in the Top 5 Best Places to live in America by U.S. News and World Report (currently ranked #2). SpecialtyCare is offering relocation pay for those moving from another state. There are dozens of reasons to make the move.

If you’re a sports fan, you’ll be in one of the rare American cities that has all four major sports covered. When you’re not working at the hospital, you can enjoy the Rockies baseball, Nuggets basketball, Avalanche hockey, and Broncos football. If you crave the outdoor life or want to hit the slopes, the Rockies are only an hour away.

There are 15 ski resorts for you and friends or family to enjoy during the winter months. If an hour’s drive is too far for your taste, there are closer outdoor options like Red Rocks Park or Cherry Creek State Park. Both are just 30 minutes from downtown. If you’re not a fan of winter, Denver enjoys a warm Spring and Summer.
