Palm Springs, California. We’ve all seen glimpses of it on countless TV shows. A weekend getaway for the good people of Los Angeles (including most of the celebrities), Palm Springs is known for its booming shopping districts, great restaurants, beautiful golf courses and spas. And Coachella is only 30 minutes away.
Right now, SpecialtyCare has openings for perfusionists in Palm Springs. If you’re looking for a fantastic change in locale, we might just be what you’re looking for. We’re offering a generous sign-on bonus on top of a great salary. Before you check out our listings, let’s take a look at the biggest reasons why Palm Springs may be the perfect new home for you.
The Warm Weather
Palm Springs is in the desert, so the first thing that may come to mind is “That’s too much heat!” Yes, Palm Springs gets hot in the summer. But think about those other seasons. The warm winter lasts from November to May. That’s 7 glorious months of sunshine while most of the country deals with cooler weather.
And if you need to beat the heat during the hot season, there are always getaways to the beach during your days off. There’s often a 20-degree difference between Palm Springs and the Pacific Coast. Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, for and Laguna Beach are all under a couple hours away.

Los Angeles is Close By
At any point in time when you aren’t working, you can get in your car and jet to LA from Palm Springs in about two hours. This means you can reap the benefits of the City of Angels without dealing with the hassle of living there. No matter what you’re into, LA has it all to the 10th degree. Because all the entertainers live there, it’s the best place for concerts, movie screenings, comedy shows, sporting events, and theme parks.
Los Angeles is home to Universal Studios. Anaheim is home to Disneyland and California Adventure. There’s also Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica to visit. If LA is too crazy for you, you can always head south to San Diego in just over two hours. This puts you close to gorgeous waters, Comic-Con, one of the biggest PGA golf tournaments, and Mardis Gras in the Gaslamp Quarter.
Palm Springs is far enough in the desert that the local traffic is pretty easy-going for the most part. There are some exceptions to this, for instance a special event or traveling to LA on a Friday afternoon or anywhere around Thanksgiving weekend. But mostly, the majority of the traffic is reserved for Highway 111 (the link to every major resort city). You shouldn’t have a problem commuting to and from work. SpecialtyCare requires you to live within a 30-minute radius of the hospital, so lighter traffic gives you more options when searching for a home and neighborhood.
Are you convinced that Palm Springs might just be the perfect location for you? We want to hear from you!
